Propane Is American Energy
Propane is a by-product of natural gas processing and petroleum refining—and the U.S. is the world’s biggest exporter.
Numbers don’t lie:
- 2024: 1.8 million barrels/day exported
- 2025: 2.1 million barrels/day exported
We’re not running out.
We’re not dependent on foreign supply.
We’re not crossing oceans to get it.
When you choose propane, you choose American-made energy—and American jobs. Try saying that about most of the minerals, metals, and components required for large-scale electrification.
Propane Is Clean—and Renewable Propane Is Even Cleaner
Propane’s emissions profile is steady, predictable, and genuinely low:
- Propane produces ~25% less carbon than the average U.S. kilowatt of electricity.
Electricity’s emissions depend entirely on the grid’s fuel that hour—coal-heavy grids pollute more, natural gas grids pollute less, renewables fluctuate.
Propane? Always the same.
And then there’s renewable propane, already on the market today. Made from plant oils and waste fats, its carbon intensity is:
- 50–80% lower than conventional propane
- Already cleaner than the grid—even if the grid magically improved overnight
Electricity is trying to get cleaner. Propane already has a proven renewable pathway built.
This is the part the electrify-everything crowd conveniently leaves out.
